Von Dohren Walks Away From Vicious 76er Crash
BECHTELSVILLE, PA - Craig Von Dohren thankfully walked away from a vicious crash during the BPG Racing Freedom 76 Saturday night at Grandview Speedway.

The Boyertown, Pa., driver marched from 11th starting spot to run second by the 14th circuit of the 76-lap event. Von Dohren was challenging leader Ryan Godown before a pivotal yellow flag on lap 20.

On the restart, Von Dohren swung to the outside of Godown while Jeff Strunk moved to the inside. The leaders entered the third turn three-abreast.

Contact sent CVD nose-first into the boilerplate. The car sat perched atop the wall with the front end wedged into a fence support post.

While the car was heavily damaged, CVD climbed from the wreckage sore but otherwise uninjured.

Racing resumes for Von Dohren this weekend at the Big Diamond (Pa.) Raceway Diamond Nationals.
