| Top-Five For CVD At Grandview |
 |
OLEY, PA - Craig Von Dohren drove from 19th starting spot to finish fifth in Saturday night's NASCAR Whelen All-American Series 358-Modified feature at Grandview (Pa.) Speedway.
A tough-to-pass heat race left CVD mired deep in the starting field, but the Mike Harvey Enterprises No. 1c avoided early incidents and progressed steadily through traffic.
"We had a good car," Von Dohren said. "Your whole night is decided by making the invert (top-four in the heat race)."

Despite involvement in an opening-lap tangle and a trip to the pit area on lap seven, CVD rebounded for a creditable ninth-place finish in the Friday night Georgie Stevenson Memorial 40-lap 358-Modified event at Big Diamond (Pa.) Raceway.
However, Von Dohren was not pleased with the performance of the car, a 2006 Teo-Pro mount.
For this Friday, Von Dohren and Co. will install the small-block engine in the '08 Teo-Pro car used in select big-block Mod events earlier this season. For the time being, big-block racing is being scrapped off the team's agenda.
